I have been a professional writer for many years. Over the last ten years I have worked exclusively for clients who have asked me to research and write their family history or personal memoir.

At the start of each project, I spend a lot of time researching, thinking about the book ahead, and questioning what is known. Every story contains other stories, some of which have been obscured over time, and by asking what is really going on here? we can get to the heart of the narrative. As a result, each book is a journey of discovery with the client, and what we uncover frequently surprises us both. In the process, we build a personal relationship based on trust, respect and our shared excitement.

My final task is to write an engaging book that has lasting value for the client, and which takes the reader to unexpected places. I’m only interested in quality, not fast or superficial results, and I believe this is the reason I have so many happy clients who love their books and with whom I have enduring friendships.
